Student rights and responsibilities – what is allowed and what is not!

  • Remember to follow the UO Study Regulations!
  • Familiarize yourself with the organization of the academic year (calendar available on the main page of the UO website) and keep track of exam session dates.
  • If you have trouble obtaining grades and entries in USOS (check regularly), submit an application to your dean’s office to extend the exam session. The decision is made by the dean. Application templates are available on the websites of the faculties and institutes.
  • If you fail to obtain all passing grades by the end of the semester, submit a conditional enrollment application to the dean’s office. Conditional enrollment is only possible if you have not failed more than two \[2] subjects that are prerequisites for passing the semester, excluding subjects that are continued in subsequent semesters.
  • You may be required to retake failed subjects, and conditional enrollment for a single subject is allowed no more than twice \[2].
  • If you do not pass the semester within the specified deadline, the dean of your faculty will make a decision on the matter – however, remember that this will only be done upon your written request.

Remember, in each of these situations you must submit an application to the dean’s office as soon as possible to avoid being removed from the student register!

Conditional enrollment involves a fee. How much will it be?

  • Each subject is assigned ECTS credits (what this means – read here)
  • The amount of the fee depends on the number of credits missing to pass the semester. Each semester consists of a minimum of 30 ECTS credits. For each credit missing to pass the semester, you must pay 70 PLN (or 100 PLN for students starting their studies in the 2023/2024 academic year).
  • Remember to register for foreign languages, physical education, and general university elective courses.
